It is a new month! And with this new month brings an amazing new blog layout and a new place for me to live!

MIA

I have a motto for this month only
"It's okay to buy it if it's on my wishlist"

With that in mind I know own my (faux) leather bomber and my American Apparel acid wash v-neck.

Other than that I am MIA after moving back to my parents house - with my computer dying, limited internet access , and not really being able to find an affordable place to live (or anyone who wants me) - I haven't been able to update as much as I would like - But never fear - as there are big changes and improvements coming.

Yay.

I got me some glasses on Tuesday and by Wednesday they were ready! I've decided I like them although they take some getting used to as they are my first pair of glasses ever.

Hot Mess!

I seem to always be with my friend Kaitlin when we come across these messes on the street. This segment of my blog will now be called "Kaitlin's Corner". More on that later.

What is going on with these pants?? There is no excuse for this mess. The girl next to her in the jeans was her friend! She was dressed fine...why doesn't she help her?

As Red As I Wanna Be

Last Thursday I went to take Claire to get her hair cut and wound up getting these funky red highlights in my hair. I enjoy them - and I also enjoy dressing like a 12 year old - Hence today's outfit.

Fall '08 Wish List

Not so much color in this wish list -but then again i already own so many colorful basics




The Breakdown:


- A fall romper in black or army green to wear with boots (I may want the fedora as well)
-Converse in all the colors pictured to go with the ones I already have



-Gray skinny jeans

-Star stud earrings (I had a pair of these 2 years ago that broke...must...go...to chinatown...)

-American Apparel Double U neck dress in black and Raspberry for layering with tights and the gray American Apparel hoodie...also to be worn under the blue acid wash V-neck t-shirt or with the lovely bandeau tube bras I am secretly obsessed with.

-Ever since I laid eyes on Vanessa Hudgens in the High School Musical spread in Elle Magazine I covet studded bracelets...a bunch of them...(Must...steal...from 13 year old sister - HI CLAIRE!)

-A gaudy over-sized cocktail ring

-Multiple chain necklaces in silver

-Over the knee boots in Black and gray

-A black leather (or faux leather) bomber jacket

-That exact pair of Minnetonka Boots

Two Show Days....

Today between shows at Mel Brook's New Musical Young Frankenstein (That's the full offcial title folks...) Adam and I went downtown to St. Marks place so I could find some bracelets that are on my fall wish list (more on that later - After which we ate and made a much nessacary Starbucks run (I I ever did a FAQ you would find out I am addicted to coffee)

Fitting in the Dress

Sunday was my birthday.
I didn't eat for 4 days to fit into this vintage dress.
It was worth it.

I have managed to find someone who will help me improve the look of my blog in exchange for me finding them pants as their personal shopper (and of course giving them an amazing shout - out on my blog)

2nd of the Day

I won't lie - I started the day in a different outfit, but I don't believe in staying in clothes I feel uncomfortable in -lucky for me I have a garbage bag full of clothes still living at my parents house.

When: 6:00pm right before leaving for work.

Collecting Refrence Material is Genetic?

Both my parents are artists and have folders and folders full of reference photos from all kinds of magazines they have collected over the years.
Today my dad had the below Jill Sander ad out as he was using it as inspiration for some project he is working on. The romper in the photo caught my eye as it is just what I have been looking for. My dad tells me the photo is pretty old and might even be from the 80's. Figures.




Also sometimes I forget where I live - until I pass things like this on my walk to the subway.

The Power of Accesories

My birthday is on Sunday. That is when I will do my new years resolutions. It works better for me this way. In addition to my life resolutions I will also do my fashion resolutions -(Not to worry they will be posted here as well!) One of them will most definitely be to wear more accessories. I have an abundance of vintage scarfs, funky belts, bangles, earrings, etc. They need to be worn!

Today's outfit was simply khaki shorts and a white tank top before the addition of the belt, scarf, and bangles and of course the brightly colored purple flip flops. I am always afraid of adding too much - I must remind myself that I live in New York City where I don't think there can ever be too much.
