September 23rd - SWAP DAY!

Today was my third clothing swap! I was a little nervous because not only did I have 76 RSVP's but it was the first time I was having my mom help sort. In the end it all turned out well. I brought a massive bag of stuff and came away with about 5 really nice things. I am especially excited about the long sweater coat and Red leather Bally's wallet. Here are some pictures.

My lovely boyfriend helped me roll my stuffed suitcase from Brooklyn into Manhattan - he hates swaps so he hung out and picked me up afterwards. Doesn't he look thrilled?
I dressed him today - he is wearing and Old Navy shirt, Target Shorts, and a Hat he picked out at a bag sale (I lied he picked out his own shorts today)

I should try to do photos in the subway more often - They always look cool.

Saturday September 22, 2007

Today was my clean and prepare for tomorrow's swap day.
I had nightmares all last night about how tomorrow's swap will go, and of course I woke up to an e-mail thread of "suggestions" from fellow swappers- who do not like that I charge $2 to cover refreshments and meetup.com fees.

I am just not really interested in the "Freegan" way of living. I like money and I enjoy buying my food from the grocery store instead of rummaging through garbage bags in the front of Food Emporium on 30th street.

My Idol is Suzanne Agasi the founder and director of ClothingSwap.org in California.

That is what I want my swaps to be! Events!

That is the end of my rant.

This picture I believe is true testament to my exhaustion - In fact it looks like I am about to fall over and fall asleep!

Dress (I think this is really a skirt...)- Wherehouse Sale

The Week in Outfits

Sometime on Wednesday the day became crazier than expected.
My boss got called to do some stage management stuff on the CBS show Fashion Rocks and my co-worker Rachael and I were making due without her. I managed to move an important file on her new Macbook and completely mess up her Entourage - So I was back at Radio City Music Hall at 9:00pm sitting at the talent check - I desk finding all her misplaced e-mails - I succeeded and in the process was asked to help with Seat fillers for Thursday nights show. So all was not lost.
