Today was the table read for the production of Bye Bye Birdie that I am costuming.
My friend (as well as choreographer and Production Stage Manager) Rachael did amazing with her outfit today so I had to feature it here. I love the way she mixed the textures of the shirt and the dress. I also loved the pop of red in her socks and shirt.
I got this sweater thing at the ThriftON! Swap last week. I think it is one of those things that can be worn many different ways. I chose to throw on this vintage belt and match it with my paint splattered jeans - I was going for an "arty" look, cause you know, I am a costume designer after all.
Everything I wore today is from swaps except the belt which is from the warehouse sale (which sadly, is not happening this month).
In other news - I am getting my highlights touched up tomorrow and I am super excited. I think this is the last time before I go back to dark hair - but we shall see.

I love Rachel's outfit, and the hint of red is the perfect example of how details can make an ensemble. The sweater you got is great, like the cutting. You always get the good stuff!
