Collecting Refrence Material is Genetic?

Both my parents are artists and have folders and folders full of reference photos from all kinds of magazines they have collected over the years.
Today my dad had the below Jill Sander ad out as he was using it as inspiration for some project he is working on. The romper in the photo caught my eye as it is just what I have been looking for. My dad tells me the photo is pretty old and might even be from the 80's. Figures.

Also sometimes I forget where I live - until I pass things like this on my walk to the subway.

The Week in Outfits

Sometime on Wednesday the day became crazier than expected.
My boss got called to do some stage management stuff on the CBS show Fashion Rocks and my co-worker Rachael and I were making due without her. I managed to move an important file on her new Macbook and completely mess up her Entourage - So I was back at Radio City Music Hall at 9:00pm sitting at the talent check - I desk finding all her misplaced e-mails - I succeeded and in the process was asked to help with Seat fillers for Thursday nights show. So all was not lost.

Wednesday Is the best day!

It is now officially Wednesday here on the east coast, and really there is no better day to make my first post on my new blog.

I am a shopping whore, but...I am always looking for a deal.

This brings us to the topic at hand: Wednesdays are 50% off at the Salvation Army. I prefer the Salvation Army thrift store in Williamsburg. Last week I scored a pair of Seven for All Mankind Jeans (In my size!) for $3.00.
Past finds have included:

+A BCBG Pink Satin Marylin Monroe-esq Dress-$9.99
+Earnest Sewn Jeans-$5.99
+Kenneth Cole Leather ankle boots-$7.99

I can only imagine what goodies tomorrow will bring.

In this blog I will post about upcoming swaps/sales/bargains/freemeets/etc
I will also post some of my favorite finds.

I believe in investing in your clothes and accessories...esp when purchasing a classic piece.

Just last week I purchased my first Louie Vuitton on EBay for $150! A steal!
I shall post pics when it arrives!
